The Association "Udhëtimi i Lirë - Liberi di Viggiare" applied in June 2019 in the program "Official Development Assistance" of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Albania. The submitted project was one of the winners selected by the evaluation committee.

The project "Composting on farm - For Mitigation of Climate Changes" will last 12 months (1 year) and will directly include 5 farms and 4 high schools in the city. During this period, a number of activities are planned, including the implementation of the composting protocol on farms, the training of government students of participating schools on environmental issues and issues and the establishment of Eco Clubs, informing young people and farmers about the importance of composting and using biomass. Farmers will gain professional knowledge of new composting techniques and the possibilities of using it as part of the circulating economy on their farms.

Young people will have the opportunity to see up close the whole composting process during the visits they will make to the farms. In this way young people will create a closer connection with the environment. They will also design and organize environmental activities in the community.

Developments and activities within the project "Composting on farm - For Mitigation of Climate Changes" will be reflected on the website of the Association.
