Dear colleagues,

The Udhëtim i Lirë-Liberi di Viaggiare Association, with the support of the European Youth Foundation and the Council of Europe, has undertaken the initiative "Youth for Local Democracy" with the aim of informing and empowering young people in the establishment of local youth councils as well as increasing the capacities of them for a more active and quality engagement in the community. This initiative is organized in the wake of the international campaign #DemocracyHere #DemoracyNow within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the youth department at the Council of Europe.

During the 8 months of project implementation, trainings were held with the selected young people, info sessions, online awareness campaign, a stimulating game for advocacy and a Policy Document was prepared by the young people that will be submitted to the representatives of the Municipality at the meeting.

For this reason, considering dialogue and cooperation with institutions as the foundation of joint work and improving the lives of young people in the community, we are pleased to invite you to the closing event of the "Youth for Local Democracy" initiative, on Friday, February 25th, 10:00-11:30 in the Kavaja Municipality Council Hall.

This event will bring together representatives of the Municipality and other key actors in the civil society sector, the education sector and active citizenship.
