Description

As part of Europe 2020 Week, "Udhëtim i Lirë - Liberi di Viaggiare" in cooperation with its partners from European Union countries and beyond, held a series of meetings. These activities were conducted online and were attended by 123 participants in total, from which we mention participants from EU countries such as: Denmark, Italy, Germany, Poland, Romania, as well as other countries such as: Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Serbia , etc. The topics covered were varied and related to the current situation in various countries around the world due to the COVID-19 virus.

The environmental situation, seen through the eyes of young people, was a topic that was discussed at length and provoked reactions from the participants. Among other things, the young people mentioned the state of the environment in different EU countries and how they see this situation. The young people also showed some ways we can improve the environment in our country and city. Participants in the meeting, in addition to young people, were also project coordinators who have experience in implementing Erasmus + projects. They talked about involving young people in international activities and exchanging experiences between participating organizations.

Another interesting topic, which was developed in collaboration with our partners from Denmark, was: the experiments in Erasmus + projects. Our participants told about their experiences in this program. Among other things, they showed how they are involved in such projects and how satisfied they are with them. There were also young people at the meeting who are already in the first phase of participating in Erasmus + projects. They showed how excited they are about their first experience in an international project.

The development of tourism and cultural activities in this second phase of the opening, opened discussions to the participants. They shared with each other the developments that their countries had made regarding the promotion of tourism and culture in this isolation situation due to COVID-19. Some of them pointed to the opening of virtual museums as a good way to learn more about the history and culture of countries around the world.

"Youth Connection Cafe" was the last meeting held during the Europe Week. The meeting was organized with young people from all over the world, who are members of URI, in which we are CC for Albania.

The meetings held within the framework of Europe 2020 Week were welcomed by both the youth of the partner countries and the Albanian youth. Among other things, they expressed the desire and interest to hold such online meetings even after overcoming this difficult situation of isolation.
