The association Udhëtim i Lirë-Liberi di Viaggiare, as part of the initiative 'Youth for Local Democracy,' has opened the call for participants in the Local Democracy Academy.
The main goal of this Academy is to inform and empower young people on issues such as: participatory democracy, advocacy and lobbying, structured dialogue, roles and responsibilities of institutions, civic education, activism, participation, political rights, accountability, and transparency. Based on non-formal education, this activity aims to equip young people with technical and practical skills so that they can exercise their democratic rights and advocate and lobby institutions for youth-related issues.

Application Criteria:

This call is based on the principle of inclusivity, transparency, and non-discrimination. The call is open to all young people aged 15-29, regardless of gender, religious, racial, or socio-economic background. This call strongly encourages young people from rural areas, young people with limited socio-economic opportunities, or those who are in the early stages of activism and active citizenship.

Evaluation Criteria:

The evaluation criteria will be based on the participants' motivation to join this academy, as well as their availability to attend all the days of its development. Only the selected candidates will be notified after the selection phase.

To be a winner in this call, you must meet the following conditions:

• You must be a young person between the ages of 15-29
• You must have basic knowledge of the English language
• You must be enthusiastic, curious, open-minded, and engaged in the community
• You must be curious and motivated to undertake advocacy campaigns in the municipality of Kavajë
• You must be a member or aspire to become a part of the Local Youth Council
