MY WORK
The transition of young people from school to work is a major challenge for the youth themselves, their families, and educational authorities. Through this platform, young people will be informed about opportunities to access higher education institutions as well as spaces for vocational training. An important element is also the creation of opportunities for employment and the development of professional or educational internships.
This space, established for young people, is realized as part of the project "Steps to Youth Resilience and Empowerment – SYRE," funded by UNDP (United Nations Development Program). This project is being implemented in two high schools in the city: the "Hysen Çela" vocational high school and the "Leonik Tomeo" gymnasium.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
PROJECT GOAL
The goal of the project is to provide psycho-social and economic empowerment to vulnerable youth in the Durrës Municipality affected by the earthquake.
The designed activities focus on two main categories: young people and parents from families affected by the November 2019 earthquake.
PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN THIS PLATFORM?
This project will benefit students, parents, the targeted school communities, and the broader community.
The student communities of the two targeted high schools will directly benefit through social and community activities carried out by their peers after completing the training cycle.
The parent community will also be direct beneficiaries, especially those who participate in informational meetings held at the schools (240 participants).
Through the mediation process for the development of professional courses for vulnerable youth and job placement support with the Employment Office, young people and their families will benefit.
